My creative journey began as a child. I learned to play the violin at a very young age, leading me to become a professional violinist. A deep love of photography was born while using a Kodak Brownie Camera, but in recent years you might see me with a Canon 80D around my neck. In Handprints, my words and images have combined to become the storytellers of my life.

Viewing the world through an artistic lens, both color and shape are lyrical to me.

I chose a monochrome color palette for this book because I love the interplay of black and white and varying shades of gray between, which for me brings a sense of calm and balance. My writing experience has taught me to authentically express myself. Letting go of fear and uncertainty has made space for my true self to come forward. A deep devotion to music continues to complement my passion for writing and photography.

A genuine source of strength in my life is my family of twelve, including my husband Joe, our three sons, and their families.

Southern California is where I call home.
